Allison earned a BS in human nutrition & dietetics in 2011, and has been working as a nutritionist and health coach for the past 9 years.
In addition to her western education in food sciences, Allison also studied Ayurveda while living abroad and completed her Yoga Teacher Training at The Yoga and Ayurveda Center in PA. She has found that incorporating some of the ancient wisdom from India's holistic "science of life," has resulted in great benefit for her clients.
Allison does not believe in diets. They may work in the short term, but almost always result in weight cycling and gradual weight gain over time. She has found that the only approach that truly works in the long run is making sustainable lifestyle change around food. This sounds simple, but it is not, because there are so many different approaches to healthy eating out there. Is the keto diet, vegan diet, Paleo diet, or Mediterranean diet right for you? Should you be doing intermittent fasting or eating small meals throughout the day? Do you have food allergies or intolerances? Perhaps you follow a very strict diet, but cannot seem to lose weight. Allison can help you navigate those waters and find the best diet for your body, one that will optimize your energy, performance, and move you towards your desired body composition.
